Besides Christmas, its the most wonderful time of the year! While major moves continue to be rolled out, (did Decker really just sign with the Jets?!) lets see where the biggest buzz is happening.
Denver: Signed cornerback Aqib Talib (New England Patriots), safety T.J. Ward (Cleveland Browns) for a combined $80 million. Denver also signed DE DeMarcus Ware (Dallas Cowboys) for a 3 year, $30 million contract. Looks like Elway is ramping up his defense to match his offense.
San Francisco: Traded for quarterback Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonville Jaguars) and offensive tackle Jonathan Martin (Miami Dolphins), and signed safety Antoine Bethea (Indianapolis Colts) to a $26 million deal. I wonder how Richie Incognito feels that Martin has a job and he doesn’t? BULLYING ISNT NICE CHILDREN!
New Orleans: Signed safety Jairus Byrd (Buffalo Bills) to a six-year deal that included $28 million guaranteed (Good LAWD thats alotta money). They also franchised their TE Jimmy Graham keeping him away from clawing competitors.
Philadelphia – signed safety Malcolm Jenkins (New Orleans Saints) to a three-year, $16.25 million deal and safety Chris Maragos ( Seattle Seahawks) on Wednesday. Also traded for Darren Sproles (New Orleans Saints) with the pick they got for Isaac Sopoaga. Wowzas! Philadelphia also chose to keep receivers Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin. (Why they kept Riley “Racist” Cooper is beyond me, but to each is own)
San Diego – signed running back Donald Brown (Indianapolis Colts) to a three-year, $10.5 million deal
Indianapolis – signed defensive end Arthur Jones (Baltimore Ravens) to a five-year, $30 million contract with $16 million guaranteed. Indianapolis re-signed CB Vontae Davis, punter Pat McAfee, the ageless kicker Adam Vinateri and RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
New England- signed CB Darrelle Revis aka Revis Island (Tampa Bay Bucs) for a one-year, $12 million dollar deal. RB LeGarrette Blount is not a pleased man about this, as he took to Twitter to express his frustration while also telling Richard Sherman that he ISNT the best CB in the league, Talib is. *awkward silence*
*IN OTHER RANDOM NEWS*
New York- Eric Decker (Denver Broncos) signed a for deal for five years worth $36.25 million with $15 million guaranteed. While both random and out of no where, its been widely reported that Denver didn’t even attempt to strike a deal with Decker. Therefore, leaving him no choice but to go to NY. I mean after all his wife is expecting their baby “any second”. Gotta love the life of millionaires. SMH
Oakland- After failing his physical LT Rodger Saffold reluctantly returns to St. Louis. I personally think he had a change of heart. Who wants to go to the land where players die?
