‘Game of Thrones’ Interview: Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane

Rory McCann who plays ‘The Hound’ on HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ was interviewed by Access Hollywood at the premiere of Season four in NYC.  He had quite a bit to say….

“There’s gonna be a lot of blood spilled this year, that’s for sure — and a lot of swearing,  My mother’s not happy about it.  Apparently I’ve got the record for swear words this year, “ he said.  He went on to say “Yes, there’s lots more Hound. I mean that was the thing — this is the fourth season, and I was a bit of a sort of spear carrier at the back, didn’t say much for the first [three seasons], but The Hound was going to be brought in gradually and it’s all happening now. My character’s on a great road trip with Arya,” Rory said. “And it’s gonna be crazy this year.”  (If his mothers not that happy about swearing, I wonder what his mother thought about him in various other scenes that I shall not name)

When he was asked about his co-star Maisie Williams, aka Arya Stark, he had nothing but good things to say.  “She’s amazing. … To be honest, I’m the one that’s getting in trouble,” he said. “I’m the sort of goofy one on set and she’s the one telling me to behave myself. She’s reminding me what my lines are, or where we are in the story because we don’t shoot in sequence and stuff. But it was good fun. We have great fun. … I really respect her.”
